2 Das Haus1004 aber, das der König4428 Salomo8010 dem HErrn3068 bauete, war sechzig8346 Ellen520 lang753 und1129 zwanzig6242 Ellen520 breit7341 und dreißig7970 Ellen hoch6967.

3 Und1004 bauete eine Halle197 vor6440 dem Tempel1964, zwanzig6242 Ellen520 lang753, nach der Breite7341 des Hauses1004, und zehn6235 Ellen520 breit7341 vor dem Hause1004 her.

4 Und er machte6213 an das Haus1004 Fenster2474, inwendig weit, auswendig enge331.

5 Und1004 er1129 bauete einen Umgang3326 an der Wand7023 des Hauses1004 rings umher5439, daß er beide um5439 den Tempel1964 und Chor1687 herging; und machte6213 seine äußere Wand7023 umher5439.

6 Der unterste8481 Gang3326 war fünf2568 Ellen520 weit7341 und der mittelste8484 sechs8337 Ellen520 weit7341 und der dritte7992 sieben7651 Ellen520 weit7341; denn er legte5414 Tramen außen2351 am Hause1004 umher5439, daß sie270 nicht an der Wand7023 des Hauses1004 sich hielten.

7 Und1129 da das8085 Haus1004 gesetzt ward1129, waren8003 die Steine68 zuvor ganz4551 zugerichtet, daß man keinen Hammer4717 noch Beil1631, noch irgend ein Eisenzeug im Bauen1129 hörete.

8 Eine Tür6607 aber war zur rechten3233 Seite6763 mitten am Hause1004, daß man durch Wendelsteine hinaufging auf5927 den Mittelgang8484 und3802 vom Mittelgang8484 auf den dritten7992.

9 Also bauete er1129 das Haus1004 und vollendete3615 es; und spündete das Haus1004 mit5603 Zedern730, beide oben und an Wänden.

10 Er1129 bauete auch einen Gang3326 oben auf dem ganzen Hause1004 herum, fünf2568 Ellen520 hoch6967, und6086 deckte das Haus1004 mit270 Zedernholz730.

11 Und es geschah des HErrn3068 Wort1697 zu Salomo8010 und sprach559:

12 Das sei das Haus1004, das du1696 bauest. Wirst du in meinen Geboten4687 wandeln3212 und nach meinen Rechten4941 tun und alle meine Gebote2708 halten8104, drinnen zu wandeln3212, will1129 ich mein Wort1697 mit dir bestätigen6965, wie ich deinem Vater1 David1732 geredet habe6213.

13 Und will wohnen7931 unter8432 den Kindern1121 Israel3478 und will mein Volk5971 Israel3478 nicht verlassen5800.

14 Also bauete Salomo8010 das Haus1004 und1129 vollendete3615 es.

15 Und1129 bauete die Wände7023 des Hauses1004 inwendig1004 an den Seiten6763 von Zedern730, von des Hauses1004 Boden7172 an bis an die Decke5604; und7023 spündete es mit Holz6086 inwendig1004 und täfelte den Boden7172 des Hauses1004 mit tannenen Brettern6763.

16 Und1129 er1129 bauete hinten3411 im Hause1004 zwanzig6242 Ellen520 lang eine zederne Wand7023 vom Boden7172 an bis an die Decke; und bauete daselbst inwendig1004 den Chor1687 und das Allerheiligste6944.

17 Aber das Haus1004 des Tempels1964 (vor3942 dem Chor) war vierzig705 Ellen520 lang.

18 Inwendig6441 war das ganze Haus1004 eitel Zedern730, mit gedrehten4734 Knoten6497 und Blumenwerk6362, das man keinen Stein68 sah7200.

19 Aber den Chor1687 bereitete3559 er5414 inwendig1004 im8432 Hause, daß man die Lade727 des Bundes1285 des HErrn3068 daselbst hin täte.

20 Und vor6440 dem Chor1687, der zwanzig6242 Ellen520 lang753, zwanzig6242 Ellen520 weit7341 und zwanzig6242 Ellen520 hoch6967 war und überzogen6823 mit lauterm Golde2091, spündete er den Altar4196 mit Zedern730.

21 Und Salomo8010 überzog6823 das Haus1004 inwendig6441 mit lauterm Golde2091 und zog5674 güldene Riegel7572 vor6440 dem Chor1687 her, den er mit Golde2091 überzogen6823 hatte,

22 also daß das ganze Haus1004 gar mit Golde2091 überzogen6823 war8552; dazu auch den ganzen Altar4196 vor dem Chor1687 überzog6823 er mit Golde2091.

23 Er machte6213 auch im Chor1687 zween Cherubim3742, zehn6235 Ellen520 hoch6967, von Ölbaumholz8081.

24 Fünf2568 Ellen520 hatte ein259 Flügel3671 eines jeglichen Cherubs3742, daß zehn6235 Ellen520 waren von dem Ende7098 seines einen Flügels zum Ende7098 seines andern8145 Flügels.

25 Also hatte der andere8145 Cherub3742 auch zehn6235 Ellen520, und war einerlei259 Maß4060 und einerlei259 Raum beider8147 Cherubim3742,

26 daß also ein259 jeglicher Cherub3742 zehn6235 Ellen520 hoch6967 war.

27 Und3671 er tat5414 die Cherubim3742 inwendig6442 ins Haus1004. Und3671 die Cherubim3742 breiteten6566 ihre Flügel3671 aus, daß eines Flügel3671 rührete an diese Wand7023 und des andern8145 Cherub3742 Flügel3671 rührete an die andere8145 Wand7023; aber mitten8432 im8432 Hause1004 rührete ein259 Flügel3671 den andern.

28 Und er überzog6823 die Cherubim3742 mit Golde2091.

29 Und an allen Wänden7023 des Hauses um4524 und um ließ er7049 Schnitzwerk4734 machen von ausgehöhlten6603 Cherubim3742, Palmen8561 und Blumenwerk6362, inwendig1004 und auswendig2435.

30 Auch überzog6823 er den Boden7172 des Hauses mit güldenen Blechen, inwendig1004 und auswendig2435.

31 Und6086 im Eingange des Chors1687 machte6213 er zwo Türen6607 von Ölbaumholz8081 mit fünfeckigen2549 Pfosten352.

32 Und6086 ließ Schnitzwerk7049 darauf machen4734 von Cherubim3742, Palmen8561 und Blumenwerk6362; und überzog6823 sie8147 mit7286 güldenen Blechen.

33 Also machte6213 er auch im Eingang6607 des Tempels1964 viereckige7243 Pfosten4201 von Ölbaumholz8081

34 und6086 zwo Türen1817 von Tannenholz1265, daß eine259 jegliche Tür1817 zwei8147 Blatt6763 hatte aneinander8145 hangen1550 in ihren Angeln7050.

35 Und machte Schnitzwerk7049 drauf von Cherubim3742, Palmen8561 und Blumenwerk6362; und überzog6823 sie mit Golde2091, recht3474 wie es befohlen war.

36 Und er1129 bauete auch einen Hof2691 drinnen von dreien7969 Riegen gehauener Steine1496 und von einer Riege gehöfelter Zedern730.

37 Im vierten7243 Jahr8141, im Monden3391 Sif, ward der Grund3245 gelegt am Hause1004 des HErrn3068.

38 Und im elften Jahr8141, im Monden3391 Bul945 (das1697 ist der achte8066 Mond), ward das Haus1004 bereitet, wie4941 es sein sollte3615, daß sie1129 sieben7651 Jahre8141 dran baueten.

Chapter 6

1 AND it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of May, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

2 And the house which Solomon built for the LORD was in length sixty cubits and in breadth twenty cubits and in height thirty cubits.

3 And the porch in front of the door of the temple was twenty cubits long, the same as the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the depth before the length of the house.

4 And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.

5 And against the wall of the house he built rooms encircling the wall of the house, both of the temple and of the Holy of Holies; and he made side rooms round about.

6 The lowest chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad; for outside in the wall of the house he made narrowed copings round about in order that the walls should be fastened together.

7 And the house, when it was building, was made of stones hewn before they were brought thither; so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house while it was building.

8 The door of the middle chamber was on the south side of the house; and it went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.

9 So he built the house and finished it; and roofed the house with beams and boards of cedar.

10 And then he built additional rooms against the whole house, five cubits high, and they were fastened to the house with timbers of cedar.

11 And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,

12 Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and execute my judgments and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will perform my word with you, which I spoke to David your father;

13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and I will not forsake my people Israel.

14 So Solomon built the house and finished it.

15 And he covered the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, from the floor of the house, to the rafters of the ceiling; and he covered them on the inside with wood, and he covered the floor of the house with boards of cypress.

16 And Solomon built twenty cubits in extent on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar; and he built within it the Holy of Holies.

17 And the house, that is, the inner sanctuary, was forty cubits long.

18 And the house was covered within with cedar, which was carved with buds and open flowers; all was cedar; there was no stone seen in it.

19 And the holy place he made in the inner part of the house, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

20 And the length of the holy place was twenty cubits, and the breadth was twenty cubits, and the height was twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with pure gold; and he covered the altar with gold.

21 And Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold; and he made a doorpost in front of the sanctuary, and overlaid it with gold.

22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished; also the whole altar that was in the sanctuary he overlaid with gold.

23 And within the sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.

24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub, ten cubits from the tip of the one wing to the tip of the other.

25 And the other cherub was ten cubits; both cherubim were of the same measure and the same size.

26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.

27 And he set the cherubim within the inner house; and the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth so that the wing of one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched each other in the middle of the house.

28 And he overlaid the cherubim with pure gold.

29 And he carved all the walls of the house round about with ornaments; and he fashioned carved ornaments and cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.

30 And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.

31 And for the entrance of the sanctuary he made doors of olive wood; the lintel and the doorposts were strongly fastened.

32 The two doors also were of olive wood; and he carved upon them figures of cherubim, and carved ornaments and palm trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubim and upon the palm trees.

33 So also he made for the door of the temple, posts of olive wood, plain and square.

34 And the two doors were of fir wood; the two leaves of the one door were ornamented, and the two leaves of the other door were ornamented.

35 And he carved on them cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, and covered them with gold overlaid upon the carved work.

36 And he built the inner court with three rows of hewn stone and a row of cedar beams.

37 In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month of May;

38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Tishrin, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all its parts, and according to all the fashion of it. So he was seven years in building it.

16 And Solomon built twenty cubits in extent on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar; and he built within it the Holy of Holies.

17 Aber das Haus1004 des Tempels1964 (vor3942 dem Chor) war vierzig705 Ellen520 lang.

17 And the house, that is, the inner sanctuary, was forty cubits long.

18 Inwendig6441 war das ganze Haus1004 eitel Zedern730, mit gedrehten4734 Knoten6497 und Blumenwerk6362, das man keinen Stein68 sah7200.

18 And the house was covered within with cedar, which was carved with buds and open flowers; all was cedar; there was no stone seen in it.

21 And Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold; and he made a doorpost in front of the sanctuary, and overlaid it with gold.

22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished; also the whole altar that was in the sanctuary he overlaid with gold.

23 And within the sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.

24 Fünf2568 Ellen520 hatte ein259 Flügel3671 eines jeglichen Cherubs3742, daß zehn6235 Ellen520 waren von dem Ende7098 seines einen Flügels zum Ende7098 seines andern8145 Flügels.

24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub, ten cubits from the tip of the one wing to the tip of the other.

25 And the other cherub was ten cubits; both cherubim were of the same measure and the same size.
